What do we do?
The main thing as Unit we do is, Carryout tasks that the Group Scout Leader and the Group Scout Active Support Unit Manager have agreed upon in the service agreement.
We are a new Unit within 3rd Hayling Scout Group, So this year we are starting off by advertising for members to volunteer on a flexible basis. The young people of the Scout Association can take part is a massive range of activities and tasks. We want to bring together people who can make that happen.
Activities we can already provide are:
- Air rifle shooting
- Air pistol shooting (Coming soon)
- Archery
- Climbing
- Rafting
There are loads of activities that can be added with the right people, training and assessments will be required if you want to lead or instruct activities.
What else?
As well as the activities above we want to be able to provide adults on an occasional basis to sections to run a specific activity or attend as an adult to enable young people to do activities outdoors where a higher ratio of adults are required or to cover a leaders unable to attend an evening. On an occasional basis there maybe a requirement for members who could tow a trailer or drive a minibus for an evening or to a camp.
Anything else?
Lastly, we will start up and maintain an air gun club at the HQ for members 8 years and over. We intend to enter competitions with other clubs starting off via post but we hope to give the chance to attend face to face competitions too.
